Everything was back online within 30 minutes.  A few settings were tweaked and things should be OK now.   

Texas servers are currently down.  The cause is still under investigation.  It could be a data center outage or a problem with hardware.  I'll update this thread once I find out more.

The Houston, Texas server will be restarted tonight (2/14/2013) at midnight Mountain Standard Time. Servers should be back up and running within a few minutes.

Sorry for the late update, but the replacement server was installed without a hitch.  In fact, it went so smoothly that I almost felt that a post was unnecessary.  Hope you enjoy the new hardware!  Let us know if you experience any issues at all.

Great news everyone!  A more powerful, faster server will be replacing the current Houston, Texas server.  The hardware in this new server is much faster. 

We Be HostiN's Houston Texas server will be replaced on Wednesday January 30, 2013, sometime between 7-10 AM Mountain Standard Time.  All game servers will be briefly be affected while the new server is brought online.  Your game servers should automatically start once the new server is online.  However, if you've uploaded mods within the past two weeks, they may not transfer over.  Please make a backup of your mods and configs before Wednesday January 30, 2013.  Unless your password has been changed recently, your login information will remain the same. 

Please open a support ticket if you have any issues after the server is replaced.

The Texas server is back online.  Maintenance has been completed.  I've learned several lessons from this downtime.  Thanks everyone for being patient.  There will be no more sudden restarts since the downtime.  As usual, upcoming reboots or patch installations will be posted on these forums.

To All Customers on the Houston, Texas Server:

Unfortunately, last night's reboot did not go as smoothly as planned.  I have learned not to perform maintenance during or before the holidays, as I'm unable to secure help from our ISP's data center technicians to look at what is going on with our server.  I was told they would help me if I were to pay $150 per hour (since today is a holiday and no one is working).  However, I would not be able to continue serving customers after being charged such a fee.  As such, I am waiting for tomorrow and will call the technicians for support.  So, you might be asking, what happened to the server?  The server is currently offline.  There is nothing I can do.  I have tried all options to access the server (yes my holiday is also starting out with a bang and I understand your frustration), none of which have worked.  I do not live in Houston Texas, so I am unable to physically go out and check the machine to discover the problem.  Someone will have to take a look to see what's going on.  This will be done first thing tomorrow, and I'm guessing and hoping it should not be very difficult to fix.  What changes were made?  I added additional IP addresses to the server so that I could handle additional capacity.  I am working in the best interests of each and every client to get this resolved as quickly as possible.  I'm a bit surprised our ISP does not have someone on site 24/7 including holidays.  This seems standard practice at larger data centers.

Again, this only affects the Houston Texas server.

Our servers will be receiving updates at 1 A.M. MST 12/22/12.  Game servers may experience a few minutes of downtime.
